will
host
a
free
Paleo-Indian
Fishing
Technology
Program
from
1
to
3
p.m.,
August
3,
in
the
North
Pitcher
Church,
located
at
1069
State
Highway
26,
North
Pitcher.
OVF&HA
Vice-Chair
Michael
Foor-Pessin
said
Archaeologist
David
Moyer
will
share
his
extensive
knowledge
of
the
Paleo-Indian
and
display
artifacts
documenting
the
Indigenous
People
of
Central
New
York
and
their
early
contact
with
Euro-Americans.
He
said
the
various
Indigenous
cultures
developed
and
flourished
near
rivers
and
lakes
and
Moyer
will
discuss
the
prehistoric
technology
they
used
to
fish
and
hunt.
“Moyer
will
concentrate
on
the
Upper
Susquehanna
River
Valley
culture,
approximately
700
to
900
years
ago.”
